Biker apologises after being shamed on police film

A motorbike rider who was caught by undercover police officers has apologised after footage from the chase was published as part of a road safety campaign.

The Roads Policing Unit enlisted the help of Manx racer Conor Cummins - he narrated a video highlighting the use of the covert motorbike; it's been viewed over 19,000 times.

Officers say the person - who reached triple figure speeds - has contacted them personally to apologise saying although he's a "competent rider" he can see how "silly" it was for him to ride like that.

The man, who's raced competitively in the past, says now he's returned to racing he won't be riding at those speeds again unless it's on the racetrack.
