Onchan Commissioners urged to support action against phone mast

Residents in Onchan are being urged to seek a rate reduction if plans for a new telecommunications mast go ahead.

That's the view of area MHK Peter Karran - he's also asked the local commissioners to support the Action Committee which is opposing Manx Telecom's application.

He says the value of properties in the vicinity of the proposed mast at Birch Hill will be "badly affected" - as well as having a "detrimental effect" on people's long term health.
