Hopes that Villa discounts can be retained despite potential outsourcing

Discounted hire rates at the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre could still be given to government and charities if the venues are privatised.

That's the message from the Economic Development Minister who says his department plans to make that part of the tender requirements.

In the House of Keys yesterday Laurence Skelly revealed they are currently given a third off the fixed room hire costs.
