Thu, 05 May 2016
Parents in Laxey are calling for changes to the school bus service after concerns that children as young as four have to stand on an overcrowded vehicle.
The double-decker public service bus which services the primary school has been switched for a single decker in March.
Wayne Danby collects his nephew from the school using the bus and says he's seen as many as 20 children forced to stand - this week he videoed the journey to show other parents.
One mother has taken her concerns to Isle of Man Transport wo responded by saying it considers it to be a "short enough journey in a speed restricted zone to be safe".
However, Wayne says he thinks it could potentially be dangerous:
it considers it to be a "short enough journey in a speed restricted zone to be safe".
