People on the Island need to "wake up" and realise it's up to them to make a change in local politics.
That's the message from outgoing Onchan MHK Peter Karran - he's urging more people to consider standing in the upcoming General Election.
It takes place on September 22nd - prospective candidates have just under two months left to register their intention to stand.
The Liberal Vannin Party founder, who described his exit from politics as a "sad day for parliamentary democracy", says if he can do it - anyone can:
