Horse tram staff will not be employed by the Department of Infrastructure - despite it taking over the operation of the service.
That's according to the Minister who was put on the spot in the House of Keys earlier this week - the service, which starts today, is set to run at a deficit of £100,000.
Phil Gawne admits it's a "temporary reprieve" after the council ditched the heritage attraction - he says long term decisions about its future need to be made "sooner rather than later":
