Using more technology to help in the fight against crime will not diminish a commitment to traditional 'face to face policing'.
That's according to Superintendent Simon Lowe - yesterday the Isle of Man Constabulary launched a new-look website in a bid to bolster its digital presence.
Police say giving out information, advice and support in this way will mean neighbourhood officers can spend more time on patrol.
In the future victims will also be able to report crimes through the website - Superintendent Lowe says it's about giving people a better service:
