Chief Ministers elections will remain the same for now - but it's not being ruled out in the long-term.
The Chief Minister says it's too soon to establish what changes are ahead for Tynwald as it awaits modernisation within the next year.
It was decided LegCo will fuel the next Chief Minister's election alongside publically elected members of the House of Keys last week.
The final decision will be made off the back of recommendations made by Westminster's Lord Lisvane in a report commissioned by the Cabinet Office.
His findings are expected this summer - Allan Bell insists they can't come soon enough:
