Work to stop landslides on Mountain Road underway

Works are underway to secure the Mountain Road from future landslides.

Infrastructure staff are on site at the carriageway which gave way in December last year following heavy and persistent rain.

Construction manager Gary Saunders is overseeing operations to make the main route safe ahead of TT 2016.

He says the department is doing all it can but the natural environment can be unpredictable:
