A Peel man who's accused of importing cocaine to the Isle of Man has been remanded in prison.
29-year-old Matthew Prendergast appeared at Douglas Courthouse this morning.
He's been charged with production of the Class A drug and possession of it with intent to supply.
Police arrested him at Ronaldsway Airport at 5.10pm on Saturday after he arrived off a flight from Liverpool - he was subsequently taken to Noble's Hospital.
He produced three packages which had been concealed internally - it's alleged they contained three ounces of the drug with a street value of between £4,200 and £5,880.
The substances have been sent away for forensic testing - an application for bail was refused and he's been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance on April 19th.
