Parole staff under spotlight over prisoner's early release

Staff who made the decision to release a prisoner three weeks before he went on to kill a UK tourist will be put under the spotlight next week.
The
independent inquiry into the Isle of Man's parole system will resume on Tuesday - the second stage will look specifically at why Donovan Kitching was let out of prison early in 2014.
The St Johns man mowed down 62-year-old Gwen Valentine, who was from Winchester, on the Tholt-y-Will - he was later jailed for more than 10 years for causing death by dangerous driving.
Geoff Karran is leading the inquiry - he says one of the key points will be establishing what happened in the time between his release and the fatal collision:
