DEFA reprimands irresponsible dog owners

Don't let your dogs free to maul pregnant ewes at the expense of local farmers.

That's the message from a member responsible for Environment Food and Agriculture after two dogs mauled lambing ewes in West Baldwin last week.

The attack cost farmers at Coolingel in Crosby over £3,000 - six animals were hurt and nearly 200 suffered 'major stress' as a result.
