Private sector encouraging 'messy' play for children

Local primary school children are benefitting from a house building company's expertise.
Hartford Homes sent along some of their joiners who built a bespoke outdoors kids kitchen - complete with sinks and pan hooks.
Ashley Hill Primary School has been incorporating the kitchen into their curriculum - by using play to explain Maths and help develop their speaking and listening.
Learning through outdoor play is becoming an increasingly popular way of getting children to learn - Eleanor Marshall is the deputy headteacher for the school:
