The chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office has been removed from his position for not toeing the party line.
Graham Cregeen has been ousted by the Council of Ministers which says he's in "fundamental conflict" with the agreed policy of the post office board.
It says rather than Mr Cregeen doing the 'honourable thing' and resigning he has continued to work to undermine the policy making his position 'untenable'.
Speaking on behalf of CoMIN Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says it's not acceptable for the leadership of the public service to be "paralysed by dysfunctionality":
