Smoking in cars occupied by children now illegal

It's now illegal to smoke in a car carrying children under the age of 16.

From today, drivers and passengers found committing the offence on the Isle of Man will face a £50 fine or up to a maximum fine of £5,000.

New research concludes that winding down a window, using the car fan or turning up the air-conditioning won't prevent the after effects of passive-smoking.
