Ayre Clay Target Club had a very busy two days of shooting last weekend. Saturday and Sunday saw two Double Trap Selection Shoots. Jake Keeling and Rob Watterson were first and second in both. Bob Corlett was third in the Saturday competition and Arthur Hayes was third on the Sunday. Sunday also saw a 50 target Sportrap league competition, kindly sponsored by Dave and Pam Corlett. Kevin Oates was the victor scoring 44/50. Marty Kneen was second on 42 with Wayne Corlett third on 37. Results of Sportrap: A Class: 1, Kevin Oates 44/50; 2, Marty Kneen 42; 3, Wayne Corlett 37. B Class: 1=, Alan Kinrade and Ben Richards 35; 3, Richie Howland 33. C Class: 1, Jake Brew33; 2, Wayne Tomlinson 26; 3, Jordan Dougherty 19. There will be another busy couple of days this weekend. Sunday’s shoot is a 50 target Down the Line competition sponsored by Jewson’s. The annual Farmer’s Combine sponsored Easter Handicap Sporting competition will be held on Easter Monday; entries close at 12.30pm for a 1pm start. We will be setting up from 10am if anyone is available to help.
