Swearing at a female driver in a moment of road rage has cost a Douglas man £800.
50-year-old Andrew Falconer launched expletives at the woman after she drove past him in Ramsey on August 31st.
He was waiting to pull onto West Quay when she made a turn past his vehicle - after she'd completed it Falconer began "waving his arms" and shouting at her.
The woman, who had her child and grandchild in the car, reported the incident to the police.
At Douglas Courthouse last week Falconer admitted the public order offence - his advocate said it was a "very tight" junction and he felt she should have let him go first before turning.
Sentencing him the Magistrates told Falconer it was an "unacceptable way" to deal with a traffic matter - they fined him £600 and ordered him to pay £200 in court costs.
