More than £100,000 will be spent on repairing the Mountain Road so it doesn't "fail completely".
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed it will pay out £35,000 for work at the Mountain Mile and £90,000 at the Waterworks.
The route will be closed for resurfacing and re-profiling between April 11th and 23rd - annual TT preparations will be done at the same time.
This includes erecting signage, road lining, ditching and sign maintenance - Minister Phil Gawne says it's better for motorists if it's done in one hit:
