A local construction company has built the most energy efficient house on the Island in Port St Mary. 

 

Complete Construction Services has finished the first 'Passivehaus' which requires no central heating system and reduces energy demand by 90 per cent. 

 

It's well-insulated and air tight with heat produced through daily activities such as cooking and showering. 

 

The whole project has been completed using Manx resources - managing director James Vickers says it's the only way forward:
