Public sector pension lump-sum payouts of over £500,000 don't promote confidence in government.
That's according to Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer.
The pensions authority doled out 171 payments of between £100,000 - £250,000 in the last two years, which makes a maximum of nearly £43 million.
Two payments of over half a million pounds each have also been handed out - Mr Singer says it's simply not sustainable if the intention is to stabilise the fund:
