Police on the Island are liaising with experts in the UK after a suspected World War Two device was unearthed today.
It was dug up during construction work in Ramsey – it’s believed an Explosives and Ordnance Disposal team will visit the Island to deal with the un-exploded object.
Cordons have been put in place in the town after it was found near to the BMX track and water pumping station.
People have been told to avoid the area and take notice of signs and barriers - however Inspector Derek Flint says people don't need to panic:
