Smoking banned in vehicles carrying children
Mon, 22 Feb 2016
Motorists will be banned from smoking in their vehicles if they are transporting children.
Tynwald has approved the ban which will come into effect on March 30th.
It means drivers and their passengers who are caught smoking in the presence of someone under 16 could be fined between £50 and £5,000.
It's in an effort to protect children from the dangers of second-hand smoke.
