Two trainee police recruits say they've been inspired to join the constabulary by those who are already serving.
Jodie O'Connor and Luke Samuels make up part of the first intake of 2016 - along with six others they're undertaking an intense 14-week training course.
Last week saw the student officers combine more theoretical learning with practical sessions and take their first exam - with all eight securing a pass of 90 per cent or above.
In addition they all gained their Life Saving Certificate meaning they're now trained in water rescue:
