External incapacity benefit assessors have their place in the system.
That's according to the Chief Minister - he says the controversial process is aimed at helping people re-take control of their lives.
Calls for assessments by Dependability Limited to be suspended have been rejected by Tynwald - instead the matter, which has caused a political storm, has been deferred to next month's sitting.
Allan Bell says in the meantime there'll be no change and people will continue to be treated with sensitivity:
