A Ramsey man has been told he needs to "grow up" after repeatedly being caught with cocaine.
25-year-old Jake Ford was jailed this week after admitting two counts of possessing the Class A drug and possession of a prohibited article.
Police raided his home on December 17th where they found a hand-held stun device, disguised as a mobile phone, and cocaine hidden in a fold up bed.
On January 30th he was caught with cocaine once again, on Loch Promenade in Douglas, which he tried to throw under a car when running away from police - he was also drunk and disorderly.
At Douglas Courthouse his advocate described Ford's offences as "childish behaviour" - saying his substance misuse, particularly his use of steroids, was "a crutch".
Sentencing him Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said he obviously had "difficulties" with controlled drugs adding his decision to buy the Taser device "clearly isn't funny".
She handed him 32 weeks for the offences - after re-sentencing him for previous offences for which he'd originally received a Combination Order - telling him "you repeatedly let yourself down".
