Island' sporting talent receive cash boost

50 local sportsmen and women will be supported by government's Sport Aid Awards this year.

It means they'll receive financial support and assistance from the Isle of Man Sport Institute - the awards will be presented on March 23rd.

Cycling star Mark Cavendish received a grant when he started out - he's now one of the scheme's principal sponsors.
