Pedestrian hit as she crossed the road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit whilst crossing the road in Douglas yesterday morning.

It happened at around 10.10am - she had stepped onto the pedestrian crossing on Bucks Road.

A silver 4x4 hit her and then drove off without stopping - officers say she was left "shook up" but not injured.

Anyone who saw what happened has been asked to contact Lord Street Police Station.
