Cycling tourism could boost visitor numbers

The Isle of Man will make another bid to host the British Road Racing Cycling Championships. 

That's the Economic Development Minister who says it could boost cycling tourism - last year the Island lost out to Stockton in securing the event. 

The new four-year tourism strategy - labelled a Destination Management Plan - has pinpointed cycling as a potential market for growth.

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft has queried the current approach to boosting visitor numbers - with Laurence Skelly admitting there is work to be done:
