A Douglas man has been convicted of drugs offences after being found in the street with heroin and carrying weighing scales.
Police stopped 38-year-old Stuart Urquhart on Fairfield Terrace last Thursday - whilst being searched he discarded a package, containing brown powder, on the floor.
A subsequent search of his home turned up similar packaging - which contained traces of brown powder - and two mobile phones.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday he pleaded guilty to possession of the Class A substance Diamorphine and possession with intent to supply.
The court heard the drug was a high purity with a street value of over £2,000 - Urquhart was told he'll be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
A bail application was refused and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance on February 19th.
