Social housing tenants in the south of the Island could be given more choice about where they want to live.
Local authorities and the Department of Infrastructure have come together to form the Southern Area Housing working group.
The group wants to modernise the current system by introducing a shared waiting list, and shared allocations, for its stock of over 1300 properties.
The idea is that those people who apply have a choice about the number, location and types of property available to them.
