Money seized from unlicensed traders
Mon, 08 Feb 2016
Police have seized over £2,500 from visiting unlicensed traders who were "causing issues" for Island residents.
It was taken from four men who were caught trying to sell sets of kitchen knives in Peel and Douglas.
Officers caught up with them and the cash was recovered under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
They say it sends out a clear message to any other unlicensed operators that action will be taken to stop them "taking advantage" of residents.
