Investigation launched into teen acquisition of exploding ammunition

Investigations are underway to find out how a teenage boy got his hands on ammunition which then exploded.

The 16-year-old from Ramsey was taken to hospital on Monday night with abdominal injuries.

Sergeant Darren Richards says officers are now trying to find out where it came from and if any offences have been committed.

He says it sends out a stark reminder:
