Marown rates reduced despite hiked responsibilities

Marown rates are being reduced.

Its commissioners have announced its intention to lower the rate for the forthcoming financial year from 155p in the pound to 150p.

That's despite taking on extra responsibilities from Infrastructure - which it says has been overcome by 'the careful management of finances'.
