Armed robbery investigations continue

Investigations are continuing today after an armed robbery at the SPAR store in Willaston on Saturday night.

The masked offender threatened the female shop assistant with a knife at around 9.30pm before fleeing with £500 in cash. 

He’s described as being around 6ft tall, white and of a chubby build – he was wearing a dark body warmer, long sleeved top and grey or blue jogging bottoms. 

Police have confirmed a man who was arrested has now been released on bail - Inspector Derek Flint says they still need the public's help:
