MLC claims constant roadworks are 'waste of money'

Taxpayers' money is being wasted due to Manx Utilities Authority orders to scrap costly infrastructure works.

That's according to MLC Juan Turner who says the A26 Glen Darragh Road, between Glen Vine and Braaid, has been repeatedly re-modelled since first being laid.

In Tynwald next week the MUA chairman will be asked how many times it's been dug up by the organisation.

Mr Turner says it shows a haphazard disregard for expense:
