Puppy rescued after falling down kiln

A puppy had a lucky escape yesterday after getting trapped in a lime kiln.

The six-month old border collie had to be rescued by Castletown Coastguard after falling down the structure in Scarlett.

They used a ladder to join the canine before securing it in a rescue harness and bringing it to safety.
