Cleaning up the electoral register is vital in ensuring the "integrity" of the Island's democratic process.
That's what residents are being told as forms are sent out to all households - it's in a bid to ensure there's an accurate log of voters ahead of this year's elections.
Not being registered means you can't vote - it can also affect your credit rating and ability to do jury service.
