Committee claims Peel dredging project was 'mishandled'

Procedures were not properly followed and the project was "mishandled" - that's the damning verdict of £285,000 worth of work to dredge Peel Marina.
The findings of a Standing Committee, which was looking at the procurement of the dredging work, will go before Tynwald this month - it claims there were "significant errors".
Michael MHK Alf Cannan is the chairman - he says the failings are clear.
The Department of Infrastructure has claimed the department only made "two tiny mistakes" but the committee says it takes a different view - a debate on the topic is expected in March, something Mr Cannan welcomes:
