Police warn of potential punishment for alcohol misuse

People are being warned to think about the potential ramifications of an alcohol licensing ban.

It's a punishment often handed out by the courts to those who find themselves in trouble for offences connected to booze.

Partygoers have already been urged to drink responsibly over Christmas and into the New Year - despite this many have found themselves spending the night in a police cell after being arrested.
