Animal charity halts re-homing to reinforce festive message

The ManxSPCA is reinforcing the message 'a dog is for life, not just for Christmas'.

The animal charity will stop re-homing animals over the festive period.

It won't be letting people adopt until the New Year - saying the added excitement of Christmas isn't a good time to introduce an animal into a new environment.

However general manager at Ard Jerkyll Juana Warburton says they do make some exceptions:
