Police are urging people to know their limits this weekend and think about the possible consequences of overindulging on Christmas spirit.

It's the busiest time of the year on licensed premises - last night 15 people were arrested for offences mainly involving alcohol.

Party-goers are being told to enjoy themselves but to 'stay wise' to the effects of drinking.
