Vehicle forced off road after crash in fog

Police are appealing for the driver of a 4 x 4 to come forward after a crash in "exceptionally poor" weather conditions this morning.

It happened at around 7am on the Sloc.

The vehicle was in the middle of the road and is believed to have forced another car travelling towards Port Erin into a ditch.

That car suffered extensive damage - officers say the offending motorist could have been unaware of what happened due to the fog.
