Medical staff taking home biggest government salaries

MHKs shouldn't be 'point scoring' on public sector pay packets.

That's according to Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle - the majority of the 813 government employees taking home more than £50,000 a year are consultants working for his department.

An additional 24 public servants are also paid annual salaries of £175,000.

Mr Quayle says if we want decent health provision we have to pay the price:
