MHKs bemoan hosting Sunday motorsport events

MHKs are voicing concerns over hosting motorsport events on a Sunday.

The Road Races Bill 2015 had its second reading in the House of Keys yesterday - when it reignited debate on changes to the weekend schedule.

Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer is also worried morning services of "all Christian denominations" aren't safeguarded under the new terms.

However Douglas North MHK John Houghton insists racing wouldn't be allowed until the afternoon and says it could even boost TV coverage:
