Gas in Ireland delivered via the same pipeline as the Isle of Man will be reduced in price in the New Year.
That's according to the Celtic League, which says Electric Ireland is expected to bring down its standard gas price unit charge by 2.5 per cent.
It comes as Manx Gas plans to hike the cost of the standing charge in January.
Director of information Bernard Moffatt believes government should be doing more to protect Island residents from heightening bills.
