Work is underway to try and save plans for a new ratings system for the Isle of Man.
That's according to Treasury which says current politicians will be canvassed on the work already done ahead of next year's General Election.
Originally the department had promised a new system by April however it's now shelved the plans blaming a shortage of legal draftsmen and a backlog of other work.
It's something that's attracted criticism as the new system will control the Sewerage Rate which is now being increased for everyone - however Minister Eddie Teare says all is not lost:
