Successfully managing the Island's fisheries is "more complicated than ever before".
That's according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which has gained Tynwald support to implement a new sea fisheries strategy.
The industry is worth £13 million to the economy with 96 per cent of products fished in Island waters being exported globally.
Minister Richard Ronan says the support of the industry is vital in making the sector a success and says relationships between the parties are "strong":
