MLC to air biodiversity worries in LegCo

Worries that local authorities won't keep to biodiversity regulations whilst carrying out new duties are being aired in the Legislative Council.

MLC Bill Henderson will question Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne on the changeover.

He's concerned that local wildlife and plant life could be endangered without guidance and wants to know if there are any plans to pass on advice.

Mr Henderson says activities like hedge cutting could be damaging in the wrong hands:
