Permission granted for fire training facility

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson
Permission has been granted to build a new £600,000 live fire training facility in Douglas.
It will be built on land near to the Energy from Waste Plant and will mean firefighters no longer have to go off the Island for training.
The facility has a 20-year-lifespan and will provide realistic fire conditions including heat and humidity.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says it's also needed because of the lack of experience within the service:
