Checks will be carried out on the Castlemona Hotel to ensure the registered building doesn't fall into disrepair.
That's according to government which says it does inspect the site and is in regular contact with the hotel's owners about its potential future.
Concerns were raised in Tynwald this week about the building's appearance - Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan admits it isn't ideal.
